1. We won't make a big thing this year, I don't feel like going to a party... But there is a small Greek restaurant near us, where we have been a lot of times, and the owner family is great We will be there with another family for New Year's Dinner and stay there to celebrate at midnight, but we will come home short after it has turned new year to get the kids into their beds. So we will just be 7 persons

Yes, I have been on Korfu Island where they offer greek meals, and also we have this small restaurant near to us, and one in the city, where I have been a lot of times aswell
Yes, I love greek, chinese and thai food (well italian, french and hungarian are less exotic, but of course still very good )
I don't know japanese food that much, but I would really love to try it, and also indonesian. Well I have already tried indonesian and african food, but I know only what I have tried once or twice, not more.

I don't know why you don't feel like going, but to be honest I never liked new years parties myself. For some reason, they always were a bit boring. Okay actually there were very boringzzzzzzzzzz. So I just celebrate the new year at my grandfather's home.
Sorry if i say something stupid, but can't you be with your family on new years eve?

My family is very split up dear, and I have no grand parents left I would love to be with my brothers family but they are in Stockholm, abut 550 miles from where I live. I can't go unless I uhm... do da OneBun thing and "borrow" a car and drive all day tomato. Nah, thaz not gonna happen.

Methinks you are right about New Year parties only I am usually the one that is expected to provide the entertainment ya see. It's not always a good thing ta be able ta make ppl laugh. Suddenly they start expecting it from you, so when I don't feel like being funny well, I just wanna hide for a while.

About da greek kitchen: My roomate is unfamiliar with the greek kitchen. She knows only a few courses and doesn't like them so much. She thinks fasoulada is ok, though
