No, I can't afford those classes! I housebroke her and taught her tricks and such myself. Of course, she's still got the trademark characteristic of her breed--she is STUBBORN!
Lets see... she can sit, shake, lay down, roll over, play dead, speak, whisper, spin around, sit up (balance on her back legs), catch, stay (when I throw a toy) and go get it (on command)...
I've tried teaching her some dance moves (like the dog here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=xlyN0L4IMck), but I don't have time to spend that much time with her.
I bet she is!
Did you have dogs earlier, too, or is it your first dog in your life?
(btw tell me if you get bored of this topic )
And if I may ask, what job are you doing?
This is the first dog that I can call my own... but my family had dachshunds growing up, too. They were officially my mom's dogs, but they really were for the whole family. My parents still have one--I trained her too, when I was in 8th grade--and now she and Tib are best friends. Although Ellie (my parent's dog) is older now, and sometimes a grouch, she's always very patient with the energetic Tib.
