@Mistery--Yeah, it's much better than the small towns where I grew up and went to college. And it's been really nice to have parents who have let me live with them until I was able afford a house.
Yes, that's my baby. Thelma Lou (AKA Tib) was my birthday present last year from my parents. She's spoiled rotten! And actually, only a couple of people have asked about her.sigpicComment

@Crimson..you must be south of me. I prefer the north country, we don't get hurricanes!! We do get an occasional tornado and lake effect snow in the winter. I drove to Fla in a hurricane once. I understand... I wanted a dachshund all through college, but I just don't think it's fair to have a dog without a backyard for them to run around and play in. Someday, hopefully you'll be blessed with one, too.
