I looove the rain.... as long as I'm not driving in it. I'm a real nervous wreck (no pun intended) when I have to drive in the rain... my car gets flooded in the smallest puddles!

And, yes, you're fortunate about hurricanes... Hurricane Dean may be heading towards my area now.

@jenni: in oban it only rained one day we were there the rest of the week was lovley i was expecting it to be cold and wet but it realy wasnt!!! then we came back home to find that loads of places were flooded not our house though yeay!!!!!

@ crimson i really cant imagine how scary it must be to have that force of wind just destroying things!!!! i hope that everyone your way is safe and well!! i always get upset when i see other countries devestated by weather and the like!!! we are lucky in the uk!! we just get rain forever and NO SNOW i love snow but not driving in it.

Thanks, dear Lucy! I've only lived here about a year, so I've never experienced a hurricane before... but from what I hear, my area of town is far inland enough that it doesn't have that much of an impact.
