@Heart--I don't think it'll work like that in this situation--she's not really being on trial for a crime, but she's trying to get out of the army. It's not so much a matter of guilt or innocence. I imagine that if she doesn't get to leave, she'll go straight back to wherever she's been. If she gets out, then we may hear from her in the next day or two. Of course, this is pure speculation--I don't know the legal/military system in Israel.
thats something your wrong about..
you should never join the army because if you try to get out your in risk of going to jail, and if you disobey there orders your also in risk because the government and legal system works like that whenever you join the army you give up your right to leave without first going through a trial, she can be charged with either: Abandonment or a Disonorable discharge or forced to go back
again thats how the legal system works in canada (and america also i think)
@Heart: Really.... I guess I was being too optimistic.
Does it still work like that even if she never willingly joined the army? I mean, I know that it's a requirement in her country to join, but I thought this trial was just to see if she could get out of the army. I had the impression that the only options after the trial were either go back and finish serving her time, or they'd let her out of it. Again, maybe I'm being too optimistic.
