  • @Iva...*pulls Iva up outta her cynical mood* *falls back* Ouchy! I thought you had fallen in. Hehe. (J/K) Hey, I can understand your point of view.

LOL!! You just described New York, Texas (where Bush is from), and Southern California! Gotta love stereotypes. We were discussing them in my social psych class earlier this semester. Coming up with stereotypes people think about Northern Californians. It was funny.

    I don't recognize her either.

    • @Escape Cops fall into one of three categories

People who were picked on and want revenge on everyone (They usually have degrees too which make them think they are 20 year veterans when they first start. That isn't to say everyone with a degree falls into this category. These types just like to make it obvious)

Ones who are adrenaline junkies that want nothing but excitement (and they usually get it because they fight when they don't have to)

And finally people that just fell into the job and that will pay the bills they need paid. Thats where most cops fall into. They aren't hypocrites and will treat most people the way they would expect to be treated.

The first two are the only two you will ever see unless something bad happens or you do something stupid.

      • @Jack....That sounds about right.

One of those two police officers I mentioned with an attidude, was someone I went to High School with. Found out at my 10 year reunion that he had become a police officer. I wasn't surprised. The guy was a large guy who got picked on A LOT. He's a rather smug guy. I can't imagine as a police officer on the force, that working with these guys was much better either, though.

          hehe, thanks for trying
Oh, stereotypes can be so much fun! Especially cos you usually don't know your own stereotype

Yeah, sometimes! We just had a good laugh in that class with that conversation.

              • Pffft! Now you're just trying to get rid of me! Hmph! ()

Very soon, yes. Because I'm quite tired and fighting that cold. I was off getting ready for bed just now. Did you find yourself a holiday?

                • I just have to ask, what is the weather like in both of your areas of the world this time of year. Is there lots of snow, no snow, a little snow? Just curious. Its an occasional thing over here. Just one to six inches of snow usually, and maybe once a decade a big snow storm.

                  • Well, here in my area, we don't get snow. Never. They do more north of me....but that's it. Normally the weather in my area at the time of year is either a lot of cold with frost (temps dipping down into the low 20's to high teens when it's really cold - not that often). Or, we get really wet winters with a lot of rain. This year it's been really boring. Just a lot of sun. And only 2 days where we had some off and on showers. It's weird.

When ThemePark came to visit this last summer he was shocked by our weather. Apparently very different than people think, when they think California.

                      of course not!!!!

                      @Jack
We used to have much more snow this time of year, but the past few years we are lucky if we get snow twice a year, sadly...

                      • We just got our first snow this week, but it was only two inches. Usually one good snow a month is typical over here. I have always wanted to move further north though. I like cold weather and it doesn't snow nearly enough for me.

                        • Yeah, it seems the weather isn't quite normal wherever you go. I'm flying to Missouri this next Saturday, and I'm hoping for a white Christmas, but I doubt it will happen.

Maybe someday soon you'll be able to move further north, and you can shovel all the snow you want.

I have problems with my right ear, but otherwise good
But every day 1 key less is working - I've lost my windows key, too
