      • *twitches* Nuh-uh. I hate them. Creep me out. Where I grew up we had a lot of rattle snakes, gopher snakes, gardener snakes, King snakes and blue racers. The rattle snakes were the dangerous ones...

OMB! I'm glad you got out of there!!!! That could have been dangerous! Did anyone know where you were in case something happened?

          • OMB! *faints* That's just scary!!!! I've heard of those kinds of snakes I think. Those and cottonmouths or something like that. Water Moccasin is their other name. They have those in Missouri, I heard.

            I'd have to agree....crazy neighbor.

              • *faints yet again* I think I'd stay in my house 24/7 if we had that many scary snakes.

I would ride my bike and come across snakes sometimes too...it's crazy how you think they're a twig or rope or something until you get close enough for them to strike! But again, our most poisonous snake that I know of out here is the rattle snake, and usually hear a "sprinkler" sound before they strike. Unless they're too young to have rattles, then watch out.

                      • Hehe. Okay. Well, I when I went back to Missouri before my mom moved out there. I stayed at my aunt's place which was in the country. And I went for a walk and saw...either the largest wolf spider I've ever seen, or a tarantula. *shivers (I just did too!)* And I was gonna ask if you get those there. This one was ENORMOUS...probably ALMOST the size of my fist. And hairy. It went running into a big hole in the ground when I came up on it. *shivers again*

                          • Hmm....I wasn't near water... I don't know what kind of spider it was. Well, if were near water, I wasn't aware of it. Cuz I never noticed any. It was very hot outside, and the spider wasn't like the wolf spiders we have here. Cuz those guys run TOWARD you, as though they WANT to attack. This guy seemed afraid of me, and I screamed. Then of course, I couldn't help myself, I went and peered into the hole, but couldn't see him any more. I have no clue what kind of spider it was...I read somewhere that tarantulas are in California, though. But I've never seen one outside of a pet shop... So maybe that was false info that I read.

They are evil little creatures, too. One of them claimed my cousin's life, a black widow.
                              That was a sad day.
