You did?! Fun! What kinds of jewelry do you make?

Oh, I'm okay. I rested a lot this weekend, and that was nice. And it was great not having work today! (Plus I bumped my laundry night to tonight. )

:p I had to work! But there were no kids, so it was kinda like a day off.

I made a 3-strand bracelet/necklace set out of graphic feldspar, red poppy jasper, and sapphire this weekend... and I made a charm bracelet with rose quartz for a bridal shower gift earlier today.

LOL...Well, I'm surprised you had to work at all! But yeah...no kids makes it easier, I guess.

WOW!! I'm gonna have to look up what graphic feldspar is, but they sound beautiful as I know what some of those stones are. WOW! Did you teach yourself how to do it?

Kinda. I've never taken any classes, but I pick up tips from magazines and other beaders.

Cool! I've never quite had the talent for arts and crafts. I enjoy drawing and writing, but crafts I never quite was good at it. My mom does a lot of crafts, and has friends who make jewelry and sell it at craft fairs. (Also give them as gifts. )

Making jewelry is really the only artsy-craftsy stuff I'm good at. Scrapbooking/sewing/painting/etc have never really appealed to me. I'd love to sell my stuff, too, but I just don't have the market or the time for it right now.

Anything interesting going on with you this week?

Well, it sure sounds like fun. I tried scrapbooking for awhile, but I kinda stopped...and never got back into it. I hope sometime you'll have the time to sell some.

Nope. Just work and school. I was gonna go visit a friend in Reno this weekend we just had, but I was unable to go. DARN! Woulda been fun. And now tomorrow I have to see the monkey boss again. What about you? Any fun plans?

I'm going to a bridal shower on Thursday, and a teacher get together on Friday. I'm looking forward to both.

Yes, I got her some things that she registered for, but I wanted to add something personal. And these get-togethers are lots of fun... it's just 4th and 5th grade teachers sitting around, eating and drinking, talking about frustrating aspects of our job. It's a great way to unwind.
