@Shining....Aww....I can't eat Mexican food cuz it's too spicy for my poor tummy, and usually has onions which I am allergic to. I hope you feel better soon! And hey, that sounds like a nice birthday to me.

I'm doing well, but tired. Yes, I'm at home. The trip was great, but I'm happy to be home. I have some more new (old) furniture for my house now.

And an answer to a question that wasn't asked (but is weighing heavily on my mind)--I should have my rescue pup in a couple of days.

@Shining...Oh nice! So you had a fun Friday night out. I've been working on getting rid of my migraine I've had since Saturday. It's getting pretty boring trying. LOL. And yeah, it's hard...I feel like such a hassle going to restaurants and asking for no onions on things. Mom is the same way.

@Crimson.....YAY! I'm so glad your trip was good, and that you got some new furniture! That's wonderful!!

And did you decide which pup to get?!!? *feels excited*

Well, Pete was adopted before I could even meet him, so I'm getting Remy. She's sooooo sweet.
Some of the furniture is antique-ish old, and some of it is just old. But it's something to fill the space for now! How's your furniture search go?

Escape: lol it was fun! took a ride before coming home to see if I could see any part of the flood but the police have everything blocked off, I'm the same way (not allergic) just don't like onions really aww she has it too? well thats ok, Onions aren't that great anyway if you were allergic to ice cream then that would be a problem

@Shining....Oh! Wow! I have seen lots of pics on CNN.com and also on weather.com. It's just unbelievable! But I'm glad to hear it's not directly affecting your area. And yeah, it's a hassle, but I'd REALLY be upset if it was chocolate or ice cream!!
