We have brought so many food of our own that I have doubts that we need to buy some things here
We have 2 ladies here that love to bake things and they have brought all the stuff they need to bake all the pies and cakes but I will save you some
We had a lot of wind and snow all morning and it was not nice to be outside in the wind.
When the wind finally laid down we went out for a nice long walk and afterwards we had hot chocolate with cake

Yep, me too
We are in Denmark now and it is cold because of the wind but otherwise very nice.
Going to celebrate the Holidays here and hooray for having internet

Darn,I forgot to tell you to put cinnamon in it too.Yeah fresh ones'll work, just cook 'em 'til they're soft so they'll mash nicely.Lemme know how they turn out!Originally posted by Chocbubbles View PostOhh, yum! Definitely making this
We don't have canned sweet potato here but always have fresh ones in the pantry so I'll use those. It doesn't matter what type is used right? I love golden sweet potato the best
Think I'll have to make this for Christmas

Really easy to make Chocbubbles, take a large can of sweet potatoes & mash 'em up (take 'em out of the can 1st,it's easier
) with approximately 1/2 cup of brown sugar & 1-2 teaspoons of nutmeg & 2-3 tablespoons of butter (you can find exact metric measurements on most cooking sites),spead 'em in a 9"x9" glass pan & cover with marshmellows (big ones) so they touch, put in 350F oven for 20-30 minutes 'til the marshmellows are brown & crusty on top.
It's one of those "everybody makes it different" dishes,so feel free to experiment.
It's a traditional Thanksgiving side dish, though some people hate it

Sounds great Freddie! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends
Hmm, I should try sweet potato and marshmellows, it sounds strange but I can see how it could work
