you could try http://www.ccleaner.com/ maybe.. i don't know if that would help out any or not... i know everytime i shutdown my cpu (usually when it freezes) it says about someone trying to hack into it......... and then sometimes something eats my IEs.. I get an error and they disappear.

*oh btw i think be careful if anyone downloads that, because it could erase things you don't want it to

I have gotten those spyware (also called malware) things too, they are so annoying. One thing you can do IF you are running Windows XP (maybe more but I have XP) is do a System Restore to a day or two before the spyware got in.

Thanks Crimsonthread, I appreciate the sympathy and advice At least it's the weekend! I'm pretty easygoing (go with the flow) but it's nice to vent once and awhile.
I'll try that link you posted if Spyware Doctor doesn't work. So far, I'm unable to search anything with google. Anything I type in the search bar won't load. My MSN search works though (but it's not quite google) Thank the lord above I can still play games and use gamershood. Again, appreciate the help!

Aww, I'm sorry you're feeling stressed, Kahnescanuck. I can imagine the frustrations your having, but I'm very glad you're ok and got the car fixed!

As far as the spyware... I've had some success using Lavasoft's Ad-aware in the past, although it's not currently on my computer. You can download the free home version here:http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-200...dlPid=10827250
However, I've heard that it may not be as good as it was when I was using it. You might give it a try and see what you think.

okay, bad day today. Stressful busy day at work (I'm sure we all have those) I'm Human Resource manager for 430 workers so some people can imagine my pain. Lost the brakes in my car, almost crashed but okay! Good point, nice neighbor fixed my car YAY! Construction going on in my building and they cut my internet cable by mistake, now fixed of course. My free AVG anti-spyware ran out, and my computer got a major attack from spyware today (same thing happened a month ago) It is very slow and my browser has been hijacked, again! Wierd web pages keep popping up (not pop up ads) I just downloaded Spyware doctor so I pray that it works. First time I've used it. Any thoughts on Spyware Doctor? I just wanna play some games Just had to let that out!! I'm starting to feel better already
