      You have to flip the mask around a bit and just try a few places until you find a word. Once you figure out the shift, just try it on the longest word (the 6-letter column) until you find a word. It takes a while, believe me!

      • Will you at least tell me what the shift is? i just tried 13, 14, and 15 and none of them work. i also know that 3 doesn't work because i tried that the other day.

                      • yes. the two images (back and ground) will form your mask to apply to the letters. then "atbash" is your clue to decipher.
