Just thought I'd let you guys know, the titles will never impact the game, all the clues are in the text and pictures. In this case:

Gilded= Gold
Hemipteron=Bug

Terpsichore=Dancing
Hominids= Men

"The Gold Bug" is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe about solving a substitution cipher wihtout knowing the key.
"The Dancing Men" is a Sherlock Holmes story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle about how Sherlock solved a substitution cipher without knowing the key.

The level is "A Question of Distance" after the substitution cipher.

Jack, using the a=1, b=2 code, figure out the numbers that go with each letter in the username...

then using those numbers, count the letters on your keyboard in the order they are on the keyboard, left to right, so q=1, w=2, etc.

Going by your method, i did exactly that for Gatosdesilva and got 7-1-20-15-19-4-5-19-9-12-22-1. I then went and looked at the letters on my keyboard, and in the same order as the numbers wrote out (from left to right on keyboard); uqzglrtloscq. Am i on the right track with this, or have i totally misunderstood what you were trying to tell us? Please give me a little hint on this one.
