I'm stuck on eight too and cannot make any sense of the things they're saying. I can determine

which sequence doesn't fit, but everything I've tried has not worked. Maybe my hearing isn't right, but it seems like its a five digit number, but the one I thought I heard was wrong. Help?

as for myself, #22 isn't making much sense.....

There is something in common with a few of the words. When you work this out and combine it with the hints given in the title, as well as the one in the source you should be able to work it out.

As for me - I'm stuck on #23.

I'm pretty sure I've worked out the correct date - but am unsure as to how to put it in, or whether the answer is one of the relevant names alluded to

The "little rings" in the source code refers to annelida, the phylum that contains earthworms. The long lost brother bit probably has to do with some animal kingdom group that was moved into annelida recently, but I can't figure out which. But I don't know how all the l337speak about terrorism and the middle east works in.

I'd suggest reading right through this entire thread, there is at least one spoiler here that mentions obtaining a .wav file.
