Ok, for 23 here's a nudge towards (or away from) the direction of the question.

The only relevant thing about the date or that day is the fact that the transcript is from that day. The solution has nothing to do with a day or a date.

Go through the riddle, and write down each piece of information as you have it. Be specific with everything (ie: ... - Edison Storage Battery Company - Thomas Edison - ... - ... )

I think that is as far as I can go without giving it all away.
