if gas is bensin or petrol- so are prices high over the whole world- a sad fact of life- i paid around 15 dollars for a gallon today- so yours is cheap

Hi NC. It's $4.55/gallon where I live. But as sixsix pointed out, I have heard that Europe's gas is WAY cheaper. But from what I hear, our pay is way less. Hard to say though, cuz I've never been there. But gas take a lot of my paycheck.

@Simply...I remember you want to learn Japanese! That'd be such a cool language to learn, but it just looks as though it's too hard for this simply kitty.

EDIT: Yes, our economy over here is awful right now. We're going into a recession/depression they say.

@Scapie: Yes, the grammar is pretty different from ours, but I think I'm starting to understand it I've been reading a little (on Wiki ofcoure ) and I'm starting to recognize some verbs, pronouns and expressions when I watch Anime Besides lili's been helping me with some sentences aswell But I'm not rushing it at all!

I'm sorry to hear that I must say I blame it all on Bush - I never liked him (although it's probably not all his fault, I'm guessing most of it is...). I don't know too much about American politics, but I sure hope you elect a better president this year

i live in scandanavia- and i think the price is actually higher than that for you, because your pints are only 16 oz and not the 20 that i use as a conversion- but the price is about the same in england and just a little lower around europe- here we produce bensin, but it is the world price that steers it - and the dollar is very low at the moment. i'm not sure that our pay is so very much higher- i don't complain, but how much is a big mac there? that usually gives an indication of wages and prices??

i don't eat fast food either- but the price is usually representative of the economic state of a country- here it costs around $7-without fries and sugar water
