natural numbers
hi everybody.
i finally caught up with you all (thanks to cryptos's exams, i guess), but i can't figure out natural numbers. i understand i have to convert the numbers from the current base (and i'm pretty sure i know which base it is) to binary code, but i don't know how to proceed from there.
can someone give me a hint, please?

Natural Numbers

converting the ones with 2,3,4,5 in them to binary leaves me with too many digits or not enough digits to form letters, based on the Binary Alphabet I found online.
Of course, I could be doing it all wrong. As a singer/musicologist/librarian, I'm not asked to do much with base-anything (unless you think counting to four is base-five math).
You and Jack seem to have this thing sewn up, whilst I am lagging behind... *sigh*I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Hi. First time poster. Finally got caught up, but am stuck on 'an unwelcome visit.' Have park but all efforts to get a proper url.htm have failed so far. Is there a hint in the text that I've missed. A little help would be welcomed, and nothing is going on at the cryptos forum. Thanks.

Pkticker: The first thing you need to do is get everything into equal length chunks of binary. Work out from the way the message starts (and maybe from your knowledge of computers) what a common length is for a group of bits (binary digits).
Then look at the chunks that are less than this amount. Do you notice any correlation between the numbers that make the chunks up, and the length of the chunk itself? Remember that binary can only have 0s and 1s, so some conversions have to happen.
Click below for a slightly more cryptic hint.
the numbers you have now aren't all in one particular number base. Sometimes they just represent exactly what they are.

Nah, I'm stumped. I've tried a few different angles, and I think I'm either overcomplicating it or just using a source of information that's missing something vital from the one used to create the puzzle
Will have to think about it tomorrow when I'm more awake.
