ok, i have figured out from hints that the wayback machine is useful, however.... it says that

i have tried every permeation of the french word for the symbol i am seeing, but i'm not getting very far.

Am i even on the right track, or am i looking at the wrong part of the picture?

nahh, part 2, i thought i was looking for the french word to the final image in the animated picture on part 2, but then i thought maybe it was the original image before it morphs, soo, i'm not quite sure now...
