    awww, that's really sad cf

my grandma died about 4 years ago. she had breast cancer and then it spread to her bones. i remember my grandpa calling us up and saying that she didn't have long, my dad went down south to be with her a day later. and it was the day after my mum's b'day that she passed away. it was close to christmas and it was a couple of days into summer holidays i remember crying at the table with my sis and mum for hours.

i hope u get to talk to ur grandad at least, just try to stay close to all ur family. they're definitely the best comfort at a time like this. lots of big for you

Thank you . I just hope the next time I see him it won't be to late for me to say anything. I hope he can wait to sleep with the stars.

That's so hard, hon. I know it's frustrating knowing you can't do anything and you can't get there before it's too late. I lost my grandfather on Thanksgiving Day about 15 years ago... no one saw it coming. It's especially difficult this time of year. The only advice I have is to cling to your family--they're the best support system a person could have, especially during this time, because they're going through the same things.

CF--I'm sorry to hear this, too. My grandmother is also not doing so great. I'm just trying to remember the times we had together. My whole family has been supportive of one another--there's always a shoulder to cry on. I know there's not a lot I can do to make this easier, but know that many of the GHers have gone through this sort of thing before and can sympathize.

Thanks for the tip, Elni. Fortunately, it seems like the antibiotics are finally doing their jobs--my fever's broken, and I'm feeling much better (although still very tired). I should be back to work at 100% on Monday!

What I can suggest is take some wound alcohol ( or Vodka, the stonger the better) and soaked some cutton. Place the soaked cotton in a thin towel or a clothing that you are using anymore and where the cutton is place it over your throat and tigh it at you neck untilo it is stable. LEt the aclohol to vaporised. You will feel the burn from the alcohol but believe me in a day or two you will feel much better

But for the time been a big to feel better

Just wanted to say... AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!! Because I can't scream out loud, I thought I'd do it here...

I've got strep throat, mono, or some other throat inflamation; my doc's not sure which. I'll have to wait a week to find out for sure. I'm having a really hard time swallowing even water, so I haven't eaten anything since lunch yesterday... I tried to eat some soft-serve ice cream last night, but even that was too painful. I got antibiotics last night, but either they just haven't kicked in yet or it's viral. I hate having to take time off from work, especially this early in the school year... Ugh. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Just be careful, you don't want to end up dating someone who mistreats you and overlooking that, just because you want a bf so badly(I know I've experienced it). You girls just wait on the person God created for you, and you will be so extremely happy! (I've experienced this too!!!) and ended up happily married!!!!
